IBP are running an number of workshops in central London to give solicitors and legal firms an introduction to version 6.1 of the Lexcel Standard, which comes into effect from 1st November 2018.

New Lexcel Logo smallLexcel England and Wales version 6.1 introduces new requirements for Anti Money Laundering and GDPR, as well as other areas of practice.

Mandatory assessments and Annual Maintenance Visits against version 6.1 come into effect from 1 November 2018.

INSPIRING’s information sessions will give you the opportunity to learn about the changes to the Lexcel standard, which include business continuity regarding cyber security, staff training and use of counsel. You will find out about the preparations that legal practices and in-house departments will need to put in place ahead of their assessment against version 6.1 of the Lexcel Standard, have the chance to ask questions and alleviate any concerns you may have regarding the changes.

All workshops will take place at The Union Jack Club, Sandell Street, London SE1 8UJ and will be facilitated by Dr Kate Baker, an experienced Lexcel Assessor and Consultant.

The workshops will be taking place on the following dates:

  • Friday 16th November 2018, from 10.00am – 12.30pm
  • Friday 16th November 2018, from 2.00pm – 4.30pm

The cost to attend is £50.00 + VAT per person.
